Cleaning London experts continue with their tips on how to clean your car.

1. When you are washing your car, don’t forget the drain holes. A lot of people forget them, but these holes need occasional attention. Clean them with a cotton ball across and into the opening.

2. When you start to clean the interior of you car, you have to begin by vacuuming the seats and the crevices. Then, you can move on the carpeting and the floor mats.

3. When you are done with the vacuuming, start cleaning the floor mats. If you have rubber mats, you should take them out and use a cleaning solution (a mixture of water and cleaner) to scrub and wash them. Rinse with clean water and leave them to dry.

4. Open the doors to clean the door-jambs. Use a dampened cloth and wipe them. Dry and polish (if the surface is painted).

5. Use a stiff-bristled brush to scrub the carpets.

6. If you have pet hair in your car, use a dampened glove to remove them.

7. Now, it’s time for the windows. Make a mixture of white vinegar and water in proportion 1:8. Use a spray bottle to apply the solution. Use newspapers, because they are famous with their polishing effect.

8. Use a cleaning solution to wash the wheels and the tyres. Add detergent-free car cleaner into a bucket of water and scrub the wheels with the mixture.

9. When your car is clean, start with the polishing. Then wax and buff it. Keep the wax away from rubber seals and plastic mouldings. Use a soft cloth for the final buffing.
