Unusual Uses of Bleach

A lot of you know that bleach is excellent for cleaning tough stains and to get rid of mould and mildew from various surfaces. But this cleaning product has a lot of other uses around your home that we’re going to discuss in this article.

Many professional cleaners croydon advise that you always use chlorine bleach carefully around small children and pets. The fumes are hazardous and will cause different respiratory problems if you inhale a lot of the fumes.

But enough with the warnings let’s get to interesting part.

Bleach is known to kill all sorts of germ easily and that’s why it’s great for sanitizing different stuff.

Second hand items for example are easily sanitized in a gallon of water and ¾ cup of bleach solution. You can soak them there for 10-15 minutes and the germ will be gone. Rinse them thoroughly with plenty of water before using them again.

Getting rid of weed in the yard is often quite a difficult job. For weeds that always come out of your walkway you can use undiluted bleach on them. The will wither in a couple of day and after you pull them the bleach will prevent them from growing back.

If someone gave you a bouquet or you just cut some flowers from your garden and you want to put them in a vase, bleach can increase their longevity and they will stay fresh longer. You need to add ¼ bleach per quart water. Another well know recipe for this purpose is with 3 drops of bleach, 1 teaspoon sugar to a quart of water.

Do you have one of those tea pots that has stains inside from the numerous uses and you just can’t clean? No problem at all, white porcelain or “china” as it’s called in some places can easily be shined with undiluted bleach. For this recipe you’ll need to work in a well-ventilated area and protect yourself from the fumes with a mask. Saturate the porcelain with undiluted bleach or soak them in a bucket half full of bleach for at least 15 minutes. Rinse them thoroughly with clean water and let them dry. But be sure to not use these recipe for antique porcelain because you can damage the colour or the metal with it.
